Fruit Attraction 2025: The Largest Event for Fresh Produce

The Fruit Attraction 2025 Experience

From September 30 to October 2, Fruit Attraction will host its 17th edition, organized by IFEMA and FEPEX, with Andalusia proudly serving as the main sponsor. This essential event is known for being the world's leading fair for fruit and vegetable marketing. Expecting an impressive attendance of over 120,000 professionals from around 150 nations, this year's edition will welcome 2,460 exhibitors from 64 countries—an increase of 8.4% compared to the previous year. With more than 78,000 square meters of exhibition space, it continues to be a thriving hub for business, innovation, and international projection.

Expanding the Exhibition Space

Fruit Attraction 2025 is taking significant steps forward by utilizing up to 10 halls at IFEMA, including Halls 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, and 14. The layout of these halls is designed strategically, distinguishing areas by region and sector to enhance the overall experience for both exhibitors and visitors alike.

Fresh Produce and Auxiliary Industry Focus

The Fresh Produce Area is set to dominate the trade fair once again, accounting for around 70% of the total exhibition space. This reflects its strategic importance in the overall offerings of the event. Additionally, the Auxiliary Industry area will have a prominent presence, alongside Fresh Food Logistics, which focuses on cold chain solutions and the transportation of fresh produce. The Innova&Tech area, encompassing Biotech Attraction and Smart Agro, is anticipating a robust growth this year, increasing by 31% from the last edition and showcasing its role as a nexus for innovation and technological advances.

International Participation and Expansion

This year's fair will introduce 323 new companies among its 2,460 exhibitors, with domestic companies making up 52% of the participants. Spain's role as a leader within the global fruit and vegetable market is prominently displayed through the participation of its various producing regions. Moreover, the international presence speaks volumes, constituting more than 47% of the total exhibitors with 1,418 companies. Notably, the event will feature participation from 14 new countries including Algeria, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Georgia, Hungary, Malta, Jordan, Mauritius, Senegal, Serbia, Uganda, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, and Zimbabwe.

International Buyers Programme

In a bid to foster international trade dynamics, the organizers have partnered with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, ICEX, and FEPEX to launch the International Buyers Programme. This initiative aims to attract nearly 700 buyers from 67 different countries, incorporating retail purchasing managers, importers, and wholesalers who will enhance the atmosphere at the fair.

Guest Countries and Featured Products

This edition of Fruit Attraction has Malaysia and Mexico recognized as Guest Importing Countries. A full schedule featuring round tables, guided visits, and B2B sessions will aim to encourage trade relations. This year, tomatoes will take center stage as the featured product, showcasing their nutritional benefits, economic significance, and role in global trade.

New Features and Activities

Introducing the Organic Hub Tour, the fair will highlight routes for greater visibility of companies that offer organically certified products. The extensive programme of activities includes the Fruit Forum by Timac Agro, which will have events such as Grape Attraction and Biotech Attraction. Attendees can also look forward to events like the Biofruit Congress and Fresh Food Logistics The Summit, along with insightful discussions.

Culinary Showcases and Innovation Awards

As in previous years, Factoría Chef, sponsored by #alimentosdespaña, will showcase the culinary versatility of fruits and vegetables through live cooking sessions. Furthermore, The Innovation Hub will spotlight over 50 products dedicated to new developments in the industry, alongside the esteemed Innovation Hub Awards, which celebrates breakthroughs and entrepreneurship across the field.

Recognizing Excellence in Exhibition Design

Fruit Attraction will also present the Best Stand Awards, acknowledging exhibition spaces that excel in creativity, design, and commitment to sustainability across four categories: Most Original, Best Design, Most Sustainable, and People's Choice. Additionally, participants can look forward to the 15th APAE Journalism Awards and the Fruit Attraction Awards, celebrating media outlets that excel in reporting on the fruit and vegetable sector.

Looking Ahead to Fruit Attraction 2025

With backing from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, this year’s event is set to be a grand affair, featuring the opening ceremony led by Minister Luis Planas. Supported by Andalusia and partnering with the Region of Murcia, Veganic Nature, Agrobank, Timac Agro, Únikas, and MSC, Fruit Attraction 2025 promises to be an unforgettable experience for all.
