Finlay Minerals Completes Inaugural Field Program
Finlay Minerals is thrilled to announce the successful completion of its first-ever field exploration program at the promising high-grade copper-silver SAY property. This property, located in northern British Columbia, showcases significant potential for mineral exploration.
Exploration Focused on High-Grade Samples
The primary focus of the field program revolved around assessing mineralization along the Spur Trend, where previous samples indicated substantial copper (Cu) and silver (Ag) concentrations. In total, the team collected 33 chip samples along with 6 outcrop samples from the SPUR target area, alongside 7 rock samples from the SHEL area. The collected samples are currently being analyzed in the lab, and results will be shared following rigorous quality assurance and control protocols.
Overview of the Target Areas
The SPUR and SHEL zones represent the most advanced areas on the SAY property. Notably, the SPUR zone is a high-grade Cu-Ag volcanic and structural target that extends for approximately 4.3 km. Previous assays show remarkable values of up to 15.8% Cu and 993 g/t Ag, indicating a rich mineralization process linked with volcanic red-beds disrupted by intrusions and structural features along a broader regional magnetic trend. Out of the 129 rock samples collected thus far, 78 exceeded 1% Cu and 59 surpassed 100 g/t Ag.
Meanwhile, the SHEL target area has been identified as a copper-molybdenum (Cu-Mo) porphyry, highlighted by historical mapping and drilling techniques. The area showcases a 2 km by 3 km magnetic high anomaly, interspersed with moderate magnetic lows. There’s also a secondary target to the west displaying a magnetic anomaly, likely representing multiple narrow arcuate magnetic units forming a cohesive feature.
Significance of the SAY Property
The SAY property encompasses 15,252 hectares and lies within a 135 km-long belt of relatively unexplored territory known as the Stikine Terrane. This area stretches from American Eagle Gold's NAK and Amarc Resources/Boliden Minerals Canada's Duke Cu-Mo-Ag-Au porphyry prospects to the nutrient-rich Red Spring sediment-hosted Cu-Ag mineralization in the north. The strategic position of SAY property highlights its attractiveness for ongoing exploration.

About Finlay Minerals Ltd.
Finlay Minerals operates on the TSXV, focusing on the exploration of base and precious metal deposits with four active properties in northern British Columbia. Besides the SAY property, the company's portfolio includes two Toodoggone properties and the Silver Hope property that surrounds the historically productive Equity Silver Mine.
- The ATTY Property spans 4,498 hectares located in the southern Toodoggone region. This northwest-trending belt is known for hosting significant porphyry copper-gold deposits, including connections to Centerra Gold's Kemess Property and the Joy Property held by Amarc and Freeport-McMoRan. The KEM target shows promising similarities to known deposits in this region.
- In additon, the PIL Property covers 13,965 hectares and contains various Cu-Au mineralization targets in its third year of a five-year option agreement with Cascadia Minerals Ltd. Upon completion of the option, ownership is expected to be divided where Cascadia will hold 70% and Finlay will retain 30%.
- The Silver Hope Property spans 21,690 hectares around the past-producing Equity Silver Mine within the Skeena Arch region. Promising mineralization trends start from surface and feature a network of forestry roads ensuring year-round access.
On the TSXV, Finlay trades under the symbol "FYL" and under the symbol "FYMNF" on the OTCQB. For further information, visit the Company’s website.
