Falco Resources to Revise Feasibility Study for Horne 5 Project

Falco Resources Endeavors to Optimize Horne 5 Project

MONTREAL -- Falco Resources Ltd. (TSX-V: FPC) is excited to share that it is embarking on a revision of its feasibility study for the Horne 5 Project, its flagship initiative in the Rouyn-Noranda area. This update is projected to culminate in the second quarter of 2026 and aims to showcase the promising potential of the project amid fluctuating commodity prices since the release of its initial feasibility study in 2021.

Luc Lessard, President and CEO of Falco, expressed enthusiasm for the updates, stating, “The revision of the Horne 5 Project’s feasibility study is an exhilarating venture. The previous analysis, while indicating substantial economic prospects, did not fully account for the rapidly evolving landscape of gold, silver, copper, and zinc prices. By incorporating current metal values, we anticipate a notable enhancement in the project’s economic viability.”

Strategic Developments and Future Potential

Falco's commitment to advancing the Horne 5 Project is underscored by its recent accomplishments, including completing the public hearing process with the Office of Public Hearings on the Environment in Québec. The corporation is poised to receive a vital ministerial decree that will green-light further initiatives within the upcoming months.

Sean Roosen, Special Advisor and Chairman of Osisko Development Corp., which is Falco’s largest shareholder, supports this strategic direction. He noted, “Once we secure the decree, Falco will be uniquely positioned with one of the largest polymetallic gold projects in North America. This development could lead to a favorable re-assessment of our value through significant milestones such as financing and project execution strategies.”

Unprecedented Resource Potential

The Horne 5 Project is remarkable not only for its size but also for its capabilities, being one of the most significant primary gold projects in Canada. The site's potential for life of mine production stands at over 220,000 ounces of gold annually across a projected lifespan of approximately 15 years. Reflecting previously established financial parameters, the project relies on gold and silver price benchmarks of US$1,600 per ounce and US$21 per ounce, respectively, indicating a high sensitivity to market changes.

With exposure to essential and strategic minerals, Falco is positioned to emerge as one of the leading producers of copper and zinc in Québec, forecasting production levels of 247 million pounds of copper and 1,190 million pounds of zinc throughout the project’s life.

Expert Insights and Company Overview

The qualified person overseeing the technical aspects of the project is Mr. Luc Lessard, who has diligently verified the details outlined in this announcement. Falco is distinguished as one of the largest mineral claim holders in Quebec, boasting an extensive portfolio across the Abitibi-Témiscamingue greenstone belt and controlling rights over approximately 63,000 hectares in the Noranda Camp, comprising 63% of the entire area.

The Horne 5 Project, situated beneath the historical Horne mine, previously operated by Noranda, is a testament to the region’s mining legacy, having yielded an impressive 11.6 million ounces of gold and 2.5 billion pounds of copper from 1927 to 1976. Osisko Development Corp. plays a pivotal role in Falco’s growth, holding a roughly 16% stake in the company.
