Exciting LiDAR Discoveries at Lancaster Resources' Gold Project
Vancouver, British Columbia — Lancaster Resources Inc. (CSE:LCR) (OTC Pink:LANRF) (FRA:6UF) is thrilled to announce significant advancements stemming from recent LiDAR and field data analysis. This exciting exploration revealed multiple gold-bearing targets and previously unmapped vein systems located at their entirely owned Lake Cargelligo Gold Project. The new data sets were compiled during a hands-on field visit, forming a crucial component of the Company’s ongoing Phase 1 exploration program.
Key Findings from LiDAR and Field Trips
High-Grade Opportunities: Lancaster's recent explorations have unveiled an extensive strike length of about 75 kilometers of granite-sedimentary contact, which indicates a largely unexplored area brimming with potential.
- Unprecedented Vein Systems: At the Greater Avoca prospect, newly mapped veins and notable historical workings were documented. Historical rock-chip sampling revealed returns of up to 3.66 g/t Au.
- Expansion of Josephine Moulder Trend: This system remains open northward. Historical auger drilling has indicated widespread Au-Ag-Te-Bi-As-Mo-Sb anomalies, suggesting significant resource potential.
- Identification of New Targets: The interpretation of LiDAR uncovered clusters of potential ancient workings and vein swarms located between Josephine Moulder and Avoca. Notably, three expansive zones along the Central Contact have never been previously explored.
- Mineralogical Insights: Historical data highlights Au-As-Cu-Zn anomalies along the Central Contact strike correlated with the newly interpreted veins, adding weight to the district-scale mineralization model.
- Untapped Eastern Contact Opportunities: Features suggestive of possible workings and quartz veins stretch over 5 kilometers along the Eastern Contact, an area that has yet to see exploration.
- Potential for Further Discovery: Early indicators of tin (Sn) enrichment have emerged, beckoning the prospect of additional mineralization coinciding with gold-silver exploration.
Exploratory Target Areas
Past explorations of the Lake Cargelligo Project paid special attention to the Josephine Moulder - Mount Wilga prospects, where auriferous veins-breccias span hundreds of meters. These significant historical workings are found within sedimentary rocks close to the Ungarie Granite contact. However, minimal exploration has been conducted outside these prospects despite promising granite-sedimentary outcropping.
Lancaster Resources is gaining relentless momentum regarding the Lake Cargelligo Project due to their recent site visit, confirmation of historical exploration reports, and the completion of NI 43-101 Technical Report publication along with LiDAR data interpretation. An extensive review of existing geophysical data is also being conducted by an independent expert consultancy.
This systematic exploration approach aims to evaluate the Lake Cargelligo Project comprehensively, focusing primarily on large-scale Au-Ag mineralization in conjunction with Sn-W enrichment.
Josephine Moulder / Mount Wilga Prospect
- Four rock samples were collected as previously indicated.
- Several rock chips with visible gold were carefully selected to maintain a representative sampling of the mineralization system, revealing remarkable values up to 31.5g/T-Au and 114g/T-Ag, along with high-pathfinder geochemical anomalies.
- The Josephine Moulder system is likely open northward, corroborated by widespread Au-Ag-Te-Bi-As-Mo-Sb anomalism from historical auger drilling.
Avoca and North Quarry
- A large gravel pit located north of the historical Avoca mine shaft, with significant historical rock chip findings.
- Recent sampling returned highly anomalous pathfinder geochemistry (Au-Ag-As-Bi-Sb) indicative of the need for further exploration.
- New veining zones identified north of Avoca were previously overlooked and are showing strongly anomalous Au-Bi-Te results.
- Additional land acquisition along the granite-sedimentary contact has been supported by the findings.
New Target Areas for Exploration
Interpretation of both existing LiDAR data and historic soil sampling highlights numerous new target areas within the project. The Central and Eastern Contacts emerging from the Ungarie Granite are accompanied by sedimentary lithologies. In total, Lancaster Resources now has approximately 75 kilometers of prospective granite-sedimentary contact under its watch, much of which remains untested.
- A potential northwest-southeast trending vein swarm has been located along the Central Contact approximately 3 kilometers south of Avoca, possibly continuing undercover.
- Additional potential workings in the greater Avoca-North Quarry area have been identified.
- A cluster of unrecorded historical pits was discovered along the Central Contact, about 6 kilometers north of Avoca.
- An extensive anomaly trend spanning approximately 4 kilometers along the Central Contact is showing promising signs of gold and other minerals.
- Historical workings are believed to be widely distributed throughout the Eastern Contact.
Beyond the Au-Ag focus, Lancaster’s Lake Cargelligo Project is equally recognized for its potential in Sn-W mineralization, and the company is committed to advancing exploration for both mineral types simultaneously.
Andrew Watson, President and CEO of Lancaster Resources, expressed his enthusiasm about the LiDAR findings. He stated, “We are significantly encouraged by these results as they validate our exploration model and provide a clear pathway forward in developing district-scale gold and precious metal resources. Our focus remains steadfast in maximizing the value of this promising property.”
The samples were meticulously collected by Lancaster’s dedicated team in their ongoing effort to confirm historical rock chip grades. Additional fieldwork will be undertaken to enhance the validation of features identified through LiDAR analysis. LiDAR technology is an invaluable tool, supporting the identification of areas of interest, vein structures, and historical workings.
