DIFI Launches Innovative Certification Program
The Digital Intermediate Frequency Interoperability Consortium (DIFI) has recently kicked off its Certification program, an initiative many have anticipated. This exciting launch started with a self-certification test designed to evaluate compliance with DIFI’s established standards.
First Companies to Complete Certification
Notably, Keysight Technologies and Kratos Defense have successfully completed the certification process. According to DIFI's chair, Stuart Daughtridge, this achievement marks a significant milestone, and four additional companies are set to join the certification adventure shortly.
Goals of the Certification Program
This new program aims to establish a benchmark for products in the satellite communications sector, ensuring they meet the interoperability requirements outlined by DIFI. Each company participating is responsible for running specified tests and then submitting their results to the Certification Working Group, which is led by Wavestream's principal engineer, Keith King.
