TORONTO, Sept. 08, 2025 — Sparton Resources Inc. (TSXV-SRI) is thrilled to announce that field operations have commenced at the Pense Critical Metals Project, located near Englehart. This extraordinary project reveals many characteristics akin to the renowned Outokumpu deposits found in Finland.

The Verrier zone, explored previously by Adventure Gold in 1997 and later sampled in 2007, shows promise with its unique skarn-type mineralization associated with a syenite intrusion. Recently, Sparton has located this area and conducted sampling that reveals significant mineralization.
Historical sampling results indicate the potential for rich deposits in copper and zinc, with values reaching up to 0.1% copper and 0.4% zinc. Moreover, mineralization might extend another kilometer east into Quebec, underscoring the area's rich geological attributes.
Significant Historical Work
Past groundwork at Verrier, including trenching and sampling, highlights the presence of sulfide mineralizations adjacent to altered komatiitic and basaltic volcanic flows. Critical metals like pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite, and sphalerite have shown historical assay values, with peak samples returning 1.31% copper, 0.32% nickel, and 1.2% zinc across sample widths reaching 1.5 meters.
Exploration Plans for 2025
Sparton has recently completed reconnaissance geophysics across multiple areas at the Pense Project. Notably, a new target area has been identified, partially covered in earlier surveys, providing fresh avenues for exploration. Another previously untested zone has been confirmed to extend an additional 200 meters in strike length during reconnaissance efforts.
The field team is diligently investigating both the Gagne and Verrier showings that have not yet been explored by Sparton’s previous programs. Electromagnetic and magnetic surveys are also slated to take place, with the prospecting and sampling program already in motion. Assay results are eagerly awaited as they will shed light on the mineral richness of the area.

The Ontario Geological Survey mapping indicates intriguing mineralization patterns, displaying the potential presence of syenite intrusives and various skarn minerals correlated with copper and zinc findings in the trenches at Verrier.

Current findings at the Pense Project highlight the presence of massive to semi-massive sulphides with key metals hosted in volcanic rocks and sediments. Such mineralization is reminiscent of the Outokumpu suite, particularly the new Verrier and Gagne zones of interest.
