  • Submissions must incorporate at least three non-text storytelling elements, including new media forms, data visualization, interactivity, photography, and more.
  • A working URL must be provided for the project under consideration, ensuring access without any paywalls. If applicable, an alternative method for review should be shared.
  • Eligible entries must have been published between January 1, 2025, and September 15, 2025.
  • Non-traditional entrants may also provide supporting materials to explain how their submission meets journalistic criteria and affirm their editorial independence.
  • Submissions that originate from house organizations, advocacy groups, or government entities will not be accepted.
  • Accepting entrants must agree to lead a design-focused training session for the National Press Club Journalism Institute within three months following the award announcement.
