New Leadership Announced at AFCEA Bethesda
The Bethesda Chapter of AFCEA has recently elected its new Board of Directors, a dedicated team set to guide the chapter's efforts for the upcoming two years. At the helm is Katie Keegan, who serves as the Senior Vice President of Sales and Strategic Partnerships at American AI Logistics. Joining her is Jessica Smith, Portfolio Execution and Operations Director at Leidos, who will support her as the President-Elect.
Continuing the Mission
This new leadership group is committed to advancing the chapter’s essential mission, which revolves around fostering partnerships between government bodies and the private sector to tackle pressing IT challenges. Their focus extends to providing valuable networking opportunities as well as educational experiences tailored for all members. The chapter not only emphasizes collaboration but also has a long-standing tradition of donating to scholarships that promote STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) education, alongside charitable organizations supporting veterans and children's health initiatives.
Recent Achievements
Since the beginning of the year, AFCEA Bethesda has been exceptionally active, hosting 13 events that attracted over 2,500 participants and connecting those attendees with more than 150 influential speakers from government, industry, and academia. The chapter has also made a significant impact by donating over $200,000 to support its scholarship programs and various charitable causes.
