As of mid-2025, over 3,600 early childhood through Grade 4 learning facilities remain inactive, which poses a significant obstacle to providing quality education for all affected children.

The recent funding builds on ECW’s previous investments totaling US$50.7 million, impacting over 386,000 children, 96% of whom are Rohingya refugees. These investments have resulted in the construction or rehabilitation of 2,300 classrooms, financial support for 2,700 educators, and crucial training in disaster risk reduction, gender issues, mental health, and psychosocial support for teachers and administrators striving to help children amidst this crisis.
