The design of this battery system promises to last for 15 years, aligning perfectly with the duration of the operational agreement established between Ripley Group and the port authority. Following their successful charter tender, Ripley Group selected Kongsberg Maritime to facilitate system integration while Echandia was chosen as the reliable supplier through a rigorous tender process.
One of the key demands for this battery system was its impressive ability to complete 30,000 cycles over its lifespan without requiring a mid-life replacement. Echandia stands out as the sole vendor capable of providing this level of certainty. Anticipated delivery of the system is set for the third quarter of 2026.
