Dornan Engineering Strengthens Leadership for Future Growth

Dornan Engineering Announces Key Leadership Changes

This marks an important step in the continued evolution of the company.

Dornan Engineering Group ('Dornan' or the 'Group') is excited to reveal the promotion of four Division Managing Directors, enhancing its Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to better serve its growing customer base across Europe.

Promotions within Divisional Management

The new Division Managing Directors are:

Dave Dukelow

Dave, a member of Dornan since 1996, assumes the role of Managing Director for the Life Sciences and Industrial Division. With over 40 years in the construction industry, he has cultivated substantial experience in executing complex electrical and instrumentation projects, particularly for blue-chip life sciences organizations.

Brendan Herbert

Brendan, who joined Dornan in 2011, has been appointed Managing Director of the Advanced Technology Division. His 37 years of construction expertise have been pivotal in overseeing major projects in fast-paced environments, contributing to several large-scale data center endeavors across Europe.

Derek Hogan

Derek, an electrical and electronic engineer, has been promoted to Managing Director of the Critical Infrastructure Division. Since joining in 2012, he has delivered a diverse array of projects, enhancing Dornan's capabilities in the data center sector with completed projects scaling from €3 million to €300 million.

Ronan Keohane

Ronan brings more than 21 years of industry experience and is now appointed as Managing Director overseeing the UK's Dornan Engineering Services Limited (DESL) Division. Since joining in 2006, he has successfully led the company into the UK market as a distinguished mechanical and electrical provider.

Supporting Organizational Growth

These advancements are an effort to respond to the increasing demand for services in advanced technology, biopharma, and critical infrastructure sectors. This new leadership structure not only consolidates expertise but also enriches the relationships Dornan maintains with its clients.

Alongside the new Managing Directors, the ELT comprises Barry O'Hea as Group Procurement Director, Darren Tutty as the Group Finance Director, and Micheál O'Connor as the Group Managing Director.

CEO's Vision for the Future

Brian Acheson, Chief Executive Officer of Dornan, remarked, "I congratulate these leaders who consistently demonstrate the qualities our clients value most, including clear communication, sound judgement, and precision in executing complex projects. Their guidance will be invaluable in continuing our commitment to superior service and quality in delivery."

Acheson further stated, "At Dornan, we are dedicated to nurturing talent and promoting from within, ensuring our team has ample opportunities to grow."

Acquisition Boosts Growth

Since its acquisition by Turner Construction Company earlier in the year, Dornan has expanded its workforce in response to the rising demand for its services in the European market. This partnership leverages Turner’s global reach, complemented by Dornan's specialized industry expertise, enhancing the support extended to their clients.
