Discovering Hidden Lithium Potential at Nottaway Lithium Project

Li-FT Power Ltd. (“LIFT” or the “Company”) (TSXV: LIFT) (OTCQX: LIFFF) is excited to share recent exploration updates from the Nottaway Lithium Project. This project is situated in the Eeyou Istchee Region of Québec and demonstrates promising results from recent indicator mineral analyses.

Exploration Efforts and Findings

Throughout the summer, LIFT strategically collected 49 till samples from locations with limited outcrop exposure. These samples were sent to Overburden Drilling Management (ODM) for thorough analysis, culminating in the identification of spodumene grains. These grains typically indicate the proximity of spodumene-bearing pegmatites hidden beneath the till. A notable region of interest emerged, spanning approximately 1 x 3 km, characterized by heightened spodumene counts.

Significance of Spodumene Grains

Francis MacDonald, the CEO of LIFT, expressed enthusiasm regarding the findings. He noted the extraordinary concentrations of spodumene grains, with counts exceeding 2,000 being notably rare in glacial sediments in Canada. The ability to identify a clear source for these grains uplifts LIFT’s prospects for discovering significant lithium deposits, especially given the proximity of other known anomalies, such as Q2 Metals’ Cisco discovery.

Detailed Results and Implications

The analysis from ODM revealed five significant results, where spodumene grain counts surpassed 200. One exceptional sample yielded over 800 grains in the dense mineral fraction and nearly 1,200 grains in the mid-density fraction, aggregating to an impressive total of 2,000 grains. This remarkable sample, along with others that indicated upwards of 400 grains, suggests a high probability for undeveloped spodumene-rich pegmatites in the vicinity of LIFT’s project area.

Understanding Geological Context

The Nottaway Project resides within the southern margin of the Frotet–Evans Greenstone Belt, where sophisticated geological formations fuel the potential for lithium discovery. The regional geology is marked by basalts of the Rabbit Formation, flanked by the Salamandre and Théodat tonalite-granodiorite intrusions. This geological environment aligns Nottaway with significant pegmatite systems to the north. Such geological assessments underscore the strategic positioning of LIFT as it advances its operational capabilities.

Future Exploration Strategies

In connection with its ongoing exploration efforts, LIFT has negotiated an option to purchase the Nottaway Project, incorporating a structured payment plan. Following this structure is not only a prudent financial move but also demonstrates LIFT's commitment to harnessing the full potential of mineral exploration in this promising region.

Financial Considerations for Project Development

The agreement entails specific cash payments and exploration expenditures that are designed to facilitate the planned exploration activities over the coming years. LIFT has set a clear path toward systematic exploration that is backed by financial viability to ensure that the project remains on a sustainable path to advancement.

About Li-FT Power Ltd.

As a dedicated mineral exploration company, LIFT focuses on the acquisition and development of lithium pegmatite projects across Canada. The flagship Yellowknife Lithium Project is complemented by early-stage exploration properties in Quebec, alongside the Cali Project in Northwest Territories. These initiatives highlight LIFT's robust strategy in capitalizing on lithium's growth trajectory within the sustainable energy sector. With increasing global demand for lithium-ion batteries, especially in electric vehicles and renewable energy storage, LIFT is strategically positioned for growth.
