Corvias Innovates Quality Assurance for Military Housing

Corvias Enhances Quality Assurance for Residents

Earlier this year, Corvias launched an updated and comprehensive quality assurance program designed to significantly enhance living conditions and boost resident satisfaction in its military housing portfolio. This initiative is a collaboration with the Army and is focused on improving quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) for daily operations.

Success Through Enhanced Measures

According to Melissa Bryson, regional vice president of compliance and quality control, the program is already showing promising results. "The program is well underway and proving successful. Since implementation, work order performance and resident satisfaction have improved across the portfolio and teams are better equipped to proactively address issues that need attention," she stated.

This improvement is attributed, in part, to the simultaneous internal rollout of a new training platform called Interplay Learning. This platform provides immersive training options for skilled trades, and over 600 team members have participated in these essential training courses. Notably, nearly 300 maintenance team members assigned to Corvias’ military housing have benefited from specialized maintenance training, which includes critical areas like heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), alongside in-person courses tailored to specific trades. Furthermore, each maintenance employee has engaged in more than 15 standard operating procedure training courses.

Future Training and Development

Looking ahead, Corvias plans to expand the range of training options available to its teams. A maintenance technician from Fort Riley emphasized the value of these training sessions, saying, "The training keeps us up to date on policy changes and expectations." This indicates a commitment to continuous learning that ensures teams are well-prepared for challenges.

Core Principles of the QA/QC Program

Corvias' quality assurance program is grounded in core principles aimed at providing a robust service experience. The program emphasizes continuous improvement of maintenance standards, conducting thorough inspections and audits, maintaining active communication with residents, and utilizing data analysis effectively. These efforts ensure a high standard of living for all residents.

Integrating Technology for Enhanced Outcomes

The upcoming phase of the QA/QC program includes an exciting exploration of how artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and large language models can be integrated. The goal is to leverage these technologies to augment the benefits of the program and improve the overall management of housing services.
