COIL's Meet and Governance Enhancements
COIL, recognized globally as a leader in aluminium anodising, has recently held an Extraordinary General Meeting where all resolutions presented received unanimous approval from shareholders. This solid backing highlights the confidence that investors have in COIL's strategic path and the ongoing transformations within the company.
Changes in the Board of Directors
During this important meeting, the shareholders made a significant decision to relieve Finance and Management International, represented by Timothy Hutton, from its director position immediately. In contrast, they welcomed two new members to the Board:
New Board Appointments
- CBP Holding, represented by Patrick Chassagne, as Non-Executive Director.
- Christopher Clarke, as Non-Executive Director.
This restructuring means the Board of Directors now comprises:
- EMC Surface Technologies Limited, with Jim Clarke serving as Managing Director (CEO) and Chairman of the Board.
- CBP Holding, with Patrick Chassagne taking on the role of Non-Executive Director.
- Christopher Clarke, also a Non-Executive Director.
Introducing Christopher Clarke
Christopher Clarke's appointment as a Non-Executive Director brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the board. His credentials include:
- Over five years of industry experience in surface engineering.
- Accreditation as a Member of the Institute of Materials Finishing (MIMF).
- A Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Alliance Manchester Business School.
- A non-practicing solicitor with a Master of Law (LLM) from the University of Law.
With this robust blend of technical skills, business insight, and legal expertise, Clarke is positioned to bolster the Board's efforts in navigating COIL's ambitious journey toward excellence and innovation.
Focus on Enhanced Governance
The newly formed Board intends to oversee the execution of its recovery plan established in 2025, strengthening managerial oversight and ensuring effective governance amid a challenging market landscape. COIL's commitment remains fixed on meeting its operational and fiscal targets, while also enhancing its responsiveness and solidifying its position as a leader in the anodised aluminium sector.
Upcoming Financial Reporting
The next major milestone for COIL is the announcement of its 2025 annual sales figures, which are set to be released on 29 January 2026 after the market closes.
About COIL
COIL stands at the forefront of the anodising industry across the building and industrial domains, operating under the ALOXIDE brand. Anodising is an electrochemical method that forms a natural, protective oxide layer on aluminium surfaces, available in various UV-proof colours. This process enhances the metal's resistance to corrosion and preserves its remarkable strength-to-weight ratio, making it suitable for an array of applications including architecture, design, manufacturing, and automotive. Furthermore, anodised aluminium is environmentally friendly, as it can be recycled through straightforward re-melting techniques.
By leveraging its specialized knowledge, operational excellence, high-quality investments, and talented workforce, COIL creates substantial value in its industrial model. With over 100 employees in Belgium and Germany, COIL achieved sales of €24.1 million in the previous year, reflecting its robust business performance.
