Churchill Resources Uncovers Significant Findings at Frost Cove Mine

Exploration Progress at Frost Cove Antimony Mine

Churchill Resources Inc. (TSXV: CRI) recently provided exciting updates on their extensive exploration activities at the prominent Black Raven Property in Newfoundland. This property is known for its historical Frost Cove Antimony and Stewart Gold mines. Starting in mid-September, the company launched an ambitious exploration program aimed at unearthing invaluable antimony and gold resources.

Drilling and Trenching Efforts

The exploration project is methodically progressing, initially targeting the renowned Frost Cove Antimony Mine before moving towards the Stewart Gold Mine and the Taylor’s Room prospect. Alongside drilling, which involves a 5,000-meter total, thorough soil sampling has been conducted across vast areas to pinpoint potential extensions of known resources as well as new discoveries.

Recent Developments

On October 14, Churchill mobilized a second drill rig to the site. By mid-October, 16 core holes had already been completed, summing up to 1470 meters in depth. This focused work targets a 500-meter stretch at Frost Cove, with additional surface trenches already dug to further support the exploration.

Encouraging Findings

As a result of the drilling efforts, significant stibnite mineralization has been identified across many drill holes and surface trenches. This discovery, embedded within shear zones adjacent to a major quartz-feldspar porphyry dyke, enhances the prospects for the area's mineral wealth.

Significance of Recent Discoveries

One of the noteworthy developments is the identification of a substantial stibnite seam in a rediscovered historical shaft located about 780 meters south of the mine entrance. Trenching alongside this second historic shaft has traced the mineralization's surface length, showing promise for further drilling activities to delineate this section.

Moving Forward with Analysis

The exploration team has sent several samples to SGS Lakefield for analysis, reaffirming their commitment to understanding the mineral recovery potential. Previous studies have already suggested substantial recoveries using conventional methodologies, promising positive outcomes ahead.

Metallurgical Studies

SGS Lakefield is conducting ongoing metallurgical studies of composite samples from the Frost Cove mine. Initial results have been encouraging, with favorable recoveries through standard processing techniques, and further developments are expected to be announced soon.

Strategic Importance of Antimony

Antimony is recognized as a critical mineral, integral to various sectors, including military applications and innovative energy technologies. Establishing a domestic supply chain for high-grade antimony is increasingly vital for Canada, especially in fostering economic resilience against global supply chain disruptions.

Goals and Future Directions

Ultimately, Churchill's exploration program at Frost Cove aims to build a strong base for the preparation of resource estimates under the National Instrument 43-101 guidelines. By investigating the properties inherited from past production eras, the company aspires to uncover significant economic potential that aligns with modern regulatory frameworks.
