Fresh out of Sumter Technical College, Atkinson jumped into his career with the SC Highway Department, only to find his true calling in the private sector with APAC. From branch manager to VP of the SC Division, Ken was laying miles of road—both in asphalt and leadership.
Ken didn’t hang up his hard hat in retirement. He took all he learned and spun it into KAA Consulting, continuing to guide the industry in energy and fuel tax recovery and other complex areas. Ken's achievements aren't just statistics, they're a life-long commitment to a craft that molded communities across the Carolinas.

Jonathan Bivens, another name now etched into the Hall of Fame, has spent nearly forty years with S. T. Wooten, having shaped roads from I-85 to US 74. It’s not just about drafting plans, it’s about drafting a future. Educating himself with a Civil Engineering degree from UT, he mastered projects that proved big dreams are built with bigger determination. Even while climbing the corporate ladder, hotshot Bivens never left his heart behind. He’s been knee-deep not only in construction work but in various committees, all setting a robust framework for industry standards and practices.

Wooten, Jr. We’re talking family business material here; the man grew up steering grading equipment and understood from the get-go what makes the gears turn beyond the workforce.
