Atlantic Natural Foods Completes Sale of Plant-Based Division

Atlantic Natural Foods Confirms Sale of Plant-Based Business

Bid process completed for ANF's award-winning Loma Linda®, neat™ and TUNO™ brands.

Atlantic Natural Foods, LLC (ANF), a prominent manufacturer of shelf-stable food products, has successfully completed the sale of its assets pertaining to the well-known Loma Linda®, neat™, and TUNO™ brands. This sale marks a significant milestone for the company, facilitating a new chapter under Century Pacific North America.

The company has been transitioning certain production lines for Loma Linda products over the past two years. This strategic move involved transferring equipment and resources to ensure a seamless integration into the operations of Century Pacific. Kelly Krause, EVP and Chief Development Officer of ANF, has spearheaded this transformation.

Douglas Hines, Chairman and founder of Atlantic Natural Foods, reflected on the last two decades of production, emphasizing, "It’s been a unique journey that should lay the groundwork for a prosperous future in plant-based offerings. Our focus is on building a legacy for the Seventh Day Adventist community, together with the global vegan market that relies on Loma Linda for their everyday meals."

Since its inception in 1980, the collaboration with Century Pacific founder, Ricardo Po, aimed to establish leadership in the food industry. Po’s vision and entrepreneurial spirit have propelled the company to significant heights. Today, under the guidance of the Po family, this legacy continues as the sale has been finalized.

Christopher Po, Executive Chairman, and his brother Teodoro Po, President and CEO of Century Pacific, are dedicated to creating accessible healthy food solutions for consumers worldwide. Together, they work towards building a global enterprise valued at approximately $1.4 billion, including their innovative UnMeat brand of plant-based products.

"Having witnessed the extraordinary growth over the years with true vision and purpose is fulfilling. I am pleased to confirm this transition, allowing the iconic Loma Linda brand to thrive, serving markets in over 30 countries. I am confident this legacy will carry on," said Hines.

A transition phase will occur over the next two months, during which all parties involved will engage with their respective markets. Beginning Thursday, selected Loma Linda products, known for their legacy that dates back 130 years to the pioneering efforts of John Kellogg, will be delivered under the new ownership.
