American Tungsten Corp. Advances Historical IMA Mine Data Review

American Tungsten Corp. Progresses with Historical Drilling Data

American Tungsten Corp. (CSE:TUNG) (OTCQB:DEMRF) has made noteworthy strides in compiling and evaluating historical drilling information from the IMA Mine project. This compilation follows the preliminary assessment of data collected by Gentor Resources, Inc., which includes records from a drilling program conducted on the IMA Mine property.

Highlighting Historical Drilling Activities

Between 2007 and 2008, Gentor Resources drilled a total of 13 holes, logging an impressive 22,088 feet across the IMA Mine property. This historical drilling program is well-documented, featuring both digital and printed records, along with existing drill core samples that American Tungsten has meticulously gathered.

CEO's Insight on Tungsten Exploration

Murray Nye, CEO of American Tungsten, emphasized the importance of the historical exploration work. “The recorded drilling and exploration activities on the property present a substantial asset to our IMA tungsten project,” he noted. The insights gained from reviewing the Gentor data provide a solid foundation for further validation and future studies.

Details of the IMA Mine

The IMA Mine is an underground tungsten mine notable for its past production between 1945 and 1957. Significantly, the mine produced around 199,449 MTUs of WO3 during its operational years. Further exploration efforts for molybdenum and tungsten had taken place between 1960 and 2008, aimed at uncovering additional mineral resources.

Compiling Crucial Records

The extensive records from the Gentor drilling program include invaluable materials such as drill logs, half-sawn drill core, assay certificates, and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) data. Recently, American Tungsten compiled these drilling and assay records into a dedicated electronic database, completing initial verifications and validations to enhance their project insights.

Reviewing Historical Results

On-site evaluations took place in January 2025, where American Tungsten’s geological team reviewed significant tungsten intercepts present in the historical drill core. The drilling data indicated more than just molybdenum, revealing notable tungsten intercepts found within quartz veins, which were reported as follows:

  • From hole IMA-21, 20.5 feet grading .058% MoS2, .394% W, along with silver, copper, lead, and zinc components from depths of 336 to 356.5 feet.
  • Further observations in the same drill hole revealed an additional 9.5 feet grading .326% W at a depth of 1212.4 feet.
  • In hole IMA-23A, a remarkable intercept of 10 feet at 1.448% MoS2 and .583% W from depths of 1400 to 1410 feet was recorded.
  • Hole IMA-24 also presented significant grades, revealing .483% W from 661 to 668.1 feet.

These valuable insights shed light on the mineral wealth of the IMA Mine, reinforcing the potential for future exploration.

Future Plans for Exploration

In addition to the results previously reported, American Tungsten is committed to identifying more vein intercepts from extensive legacy drilling data. This effort includes planning for a thorough verification program that aims to validate historical results, further enhancing the data pool for the IMA Mine project.

Commitment to Accuracy

It's important to note that American Tungsten and its team of Qualified Persons have not conducted sufficient independent verification of historical drill hole data and are not classifying this information as current results. The belief in the factual nature of these results underlines the prospective exploration targets available, although further work is required to establish the accuracy of this information.
