PEOPLE and Great Place To Work Unveil PEOPLE’s '100 Companies that Care' for 2024
New York — PEOPLE has announced its eighth annual list of 100 Companies that Care, showcasing employers who have made exceptional efforts to foster positive work environments for their employees and contribute to their communities.
Cisco Takes the Lead
Cisco has secured the top position for its dedication to making a social impact. In the most recent fiscal year, the company appointed its first chief social impact officer and achieved an impressive 80% employee participation rate in community service programs and volunteer activities.
Over 62,000 employees contributed to more than $34 million in donations and matching gifts. Cisco also prioritizes inclusivity, ensuring that external partners receiving funding from its initiatives confirm that at least 65% of their program participants are from underrepresented or vulnerable groups.
Highlights from the 2024 List
This year’s list features other remarkable companies, including Hilton (No. 2), which has implemented a hiring program to help formerly incarcerated individuals develop job skills. Marriott International (No. 4) is also recognized for its efforts in assisting refugees in securing employment and building new careers. Furthermore, organizations like Sheetz, Inc. (No. 9) have launched initiatives that provide meaningful job opportunities for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
