Award for Adaptive Use. Nick and Jerri Schaefer have transformed Alto Pass’ oldest commercial building into a distinctive speakeasy-style bourbon bar and private tasting room, establishing a new attraction along the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail.
Montgomery’s Place
Award for Rehabilitation. Jennifer Spence has revitalized the neglected Montgomery’s Place building in Carterville, turning it into a lively restaurant and community gathering spot while preserving original features that honor local history.
Historic Lawson House
Award for Rehabilitation & Richard H. Driehaus Legacy Award. The renovation of the former Lawson House now provides over 400 apartment units and social services for low-income residents, highlighting innovative redevelopment in Chicago.
Ramova Theatre
