In 2012 Drs DeGrado and Scott, 2 principals in Polymedixs, published an article in the journal Cell Host and Microbe where it studied several of its HDP's which had in vitro and in a murine model positive effects against malaria. PMX 207 and PMX 1207 were the most active compounds and are chemically very similar to Brilacidin {PMX30063}.
