Correction on previous F.F.I. Blog
Greetings HHSE Friends & Followers - on March 17, HHSE reported on this blog that attorney George B. Morton had filed a motion to show satisfaction of the Fantastic Films balance from Hannover House (and prior affiliated entities). In this blog, it was mentioned that an over-payment of $8,970.76 in Hannover's favor had occurred, and that counsel was seeking to request that the court order FFI to repay this over-payment sum to the company. This filing was slated to have been made with the court on or about the date of that blog post.
However, the filing did not occur on the date planned.
An associate at the Morton Law Firm recognized that a mathematical error had been made in the calculation of interest on the exhibit, and that the motion (and exhibits) needed to be revised.
The actual amount of the over-payment, utilizing California statutes on post-judgment interest, is $17,533.35 . Accordingly, this is the amount that HHSE will be moving for refund.
... and of course, this proof-of-payment by HHSE completely negates and renders moot the "motion to compel" as asked for by the local collections agent.
Apologies for the posting error made in the prior blog.
