Let me show you how much DD i do just for one stock:
I know i blab a lot on doing DD, but i thought maybe a visual would bring to light just how much DD is nessesary if you really want to make major profits. The following images are from when I first researched SGLB.
Four folders, each plastic slip filled both side with DD, research, phone calls, web searches, etc etc:
This is what it takes if youre serious. Do you realize 52% of americans are NOT invested AT ALL!? on top of that more than half wont make a dime because theyre not invested in anything substantial. On top of that, most investments are IRA's which take a lifetime to build.
If youre serious about investing, go buy or find an old folder and start filling it with DD. Dont spend a fortune on fancy folders or plastic slips. I found those four folders at the curb, and those plastic slips i got 500 for $1 at a garage sale. You dont need a printer to print the DD if you cant afford one. get some old scrap paper, old notebook, a napkin... write down your DD and review it weekly. if you cant find a folder.. keep your stuff in a cardboard box. making money isnt about being fancy; its about being productive. Its better to have 50 napkins with DD on them than nothing at all
I do this level of DD for 99% of my stocks. Sure, some i jump in just for fun. But doing DD like this pays off. it allows you to review your thoughts when the share price falls. With enough DD, you can pretty much know the in's and out's of a company.
