Bhawk what is wrong with you ?. When a point is made and it doesn't fit your agenda you change the subject to fit what your are trying to say.

Why can't you deal with the subject like a real person and stay on it to find a real conclusion.

See Bhawk you can post all the blind crap you won't. But the fact is Trump knows that it is a rigid system. and a lot of other people do too. He made a comment ti his speech today about how the economy changed after the 1970's.

I seen life back then and people really did have a life then.
One person worked to support their family people had family time took vacations had a nice house close food money in the bank

For the life of me I just can't understand why people like you can not understand that.

How old are you.

Re: dbergh #17004

I remember further back than the 70's, and of COURSE life, the economy, was different. Pretending that we're going back economically to any of the decades you remember is foolish.

Way too many systemic changes in the domestic and world economies for that to happen.

You may also recall that tax rates were much higher and unions were stronger.

Bhawk read what you wrote and think about what you said

{ tax rates were much higher and unions were stronger. }

And yet people were Living BETTER.

This is why all the stuff you post about the system as we know does not make any sense,

Read what you wrote and stop trying to think of a comeback,
Truly think about it

We don't have go back to that period to have a good life just make some changes to the way our Country does business,

And handles itself around the world that is it

Re: dbergh #17052

That's a sweeping generalization that overlooks too many exceptions, including improvements in health, safety and access to education SINCE the golden era you claim existed.

Additionally there are large numbers of women and blacks who would disagree with you because of restricted opportunities that existed in the workplace.

De jure and De facto segregation also made for lives that were NOT 'better' for those suffering the discrimination

Re: dbergh #17077

There is nothing wrong with me. You made a sweeping generalization to the effect that:

"I seen life back then and people really did have a life then.
One person worked to support their family people had family time took vacations had a nice house close food money in the bank ."

And I calmly pointed out that that was not the experience for the groups I identified.

For many people life was as you described, just as it is today for many people. Your clear implication was that life is not so good now as it was. But in many, many respects it is better

Forget about my age. I told you my memories and my experience go back further than do yours, which explains my different perspective.

My Guess is you won't have a intelligent response.
Or responded at all
