Global Turbocharger (VGT/VNT, Wastegate & Twin-Turbo) Market 2014-2019
M2 - Wed Sep 17, 3:29AM CDT
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/tcg4hx/turbocharger) has announced the addition of the "Turbocharger Market by Vehicle Type, Fuel Type, Technology, & Region - Industry Trends & Forecasts to 2019" report to their offering. The turbocharger market is estimated to reach $18.1 Billion by 2019, with a projected CAGR of 10.12%, indicating the potential of fuel-efficient technologies. Variable geometry turbine (VGT)/variable nozzle turbine (VNT), Wastegate, and Twin-turbo are the three prominent technologies used in automotive turbocharger.VGT/VNT turbochargers are mainly used in passenger cars due to its excellent performance in low displacement engines, whereas wastegate turbochargers are used in commercial vehicle applications as it offers fuel efficiency over engine performance. It is estimated that Europe will be the largest market for turbocharger with a market share by volume of 43.8% in 2014. It is followed by Asia-Oceania with a market share of 37.4%. The market share by volume of North America in 2014 is estimated to be about 14.7% as the penetration of turbocharger is competitively low in this region. It is projected that the diesel turbocharger segment will grow at a higher rate as compared to gasoline turbocharger segment. The growth in demand for turbocharger is mainly due to the implementation of emission norms which limits the emission of harmful gases such as Carbon Dioxide(CO2) and Nitrous Oxide(NOx) from vehicles. Another factor which has driven the demand is downsizing of engines owing to the need for fuel-efficiency in the wake of global rise in fuel prices. The global turbocharger market is dominated by few top players such as Honeywell International Inc. (U.S.), BorgWarner Inc (U.S.), Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. (Japan), IHI Corporation (Japan) and Cummins Inc (U.S.).These companies collectively account for a major share of the turbocharger market. Global Clean Coal Technologies Market 2014-2018
M2 - Tue Jul 22, 5:15AM CDT
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/tkmsp6/global_clean_coal) has announced the addition of the "Global Clean Coal Technologies Market 2014-2018" report to their offering. The Global Clean Coal Technologies market to grow at a CAGR of 8.2% to 2018 Clean coal refers to the process of reducing carbon emissions and other harmful pollutants that arise from the burning of coal for power generation to the minimum possible level. SC, USC, and IGCC technologies are clean coal technologies that are widely used for setting up new-build coal-fired power plants. The more sophisticated the technology, the higher the steam pressure and temperature requirement is for operating the plant. As a result, the thermal efficiencies improve with the usage of more sophisticated technology. As well as these three technologies, CCS is also an upcoming technology, which is capable of reducing carbon emissions drastically by 80-90 percent. This technology is used in conjunction with SC, USC or IGCC plants. The Global Clean Coal Technologies market can be segmented into three technologies: - Supercritical - Ultra-supercritical - Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle The report, the Global Clean Coal Technologies Market 2014-2018, has been prepared based on an in-depth market analysis with inputs from industry experts. The report covers the Americas, and the EMEA and APAC regions; it also covers the Global Clean Coal Technologies market landscape and its growth prospects in the coming years. The report also includes a discussion of the key vendors operating in this market. Key Vendors - Alstom SA - Dongfang Electric Corp. Ltd. - Foster Wheeler AG - Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. - Shanghai Electric Group Co. Ltd. Other Prominent Vendors - Babcock & Wilcox Co. - Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Co. - Rafako SA - IHI Corp. - Hitachi Ltd. Further, the report states that one of the major challenges confronting the market is the capital-intensive nature of clean coal projects. The more sophisticated the technology used, the higher the capital and operating costs requirements associated with the clean coal project. As a result, advanced clean coal technologies (IGCC or CCS) are not widely used, as they are still not cost-competitive compared with other cleaner sources of energy such as renewables or gas. Key Topics Covered: - Executive Summary - List of Abbreviations - Scope of the Report - Market Research Methodology - Introduction - Market Landscape - Market Segmentation by Technology - Geographical Segmentation - Key Leading Countries - Key Regulations - Market Growth Drivers - Drivers and their Impact - Market Challenges - Impact of Drivers and Challenges - Market Trends - Trends and their Impact - Vendor Landscape - Key Vendor Analysis For more information visit http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/tk...clean_coal

Global Automotive Turbocharger Market 2012-2016: One of the Main Challenges in This Market Is the Presence of Operational Issues
M2 - Mon Mar 10, 11:57AM CDT
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/l8t42q/global_automotive) has announced the addition of the "Global Automotive Turbocharger Market 2012-2016" report to their offering. The analysts forecast the Global Automotive Turbocharger market to grow at a CAGR of 14.49 percent over the period 2012-2016. One of the key factors contributing to this market growth is growth of the Global Passenger Vehicle Turbocharger market. The Global Automotive Turbocharger market has also been witnessing the increasing demand for gasoline turbochargers. However, the functional and operation issues of automotive turbochargers could pose a challenge to the growth of this market. The key vendors dominating this space are Honeywell International Inc., Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd., IHI Corp., and Borg Warner Inc. The other vendors mentioned in the report are Cummins Inc., Turbodyne Technologies Inc., and Turbonetics Inc. Commenting on the report, an analyst from TechNavio's Automotive team said: ''The increasing usage of twin turbo technology is expected to be a major trend in the Global Automotive Turbocharger market over the forecast period. In twin turbo technology, two turbochargers compress air and transfer it back to the vehicle engine resulting in more power. Further, twin turbo technology is of two types depending on the arrangement of turbochargers-parallel twin turbo and sequential twin turbo. In parallel twin turbo technology, the turbochargers function simultaneously, whereas in sequential turbo, the turbochargers function sequentially, one at a lower engine speed and the other at a higher engine speed. Thus, the increasing usage of twin turbo technology helps reduce turbo lag and enhances engine performance.'' According to the report, one of the main drivers in this market is the growth of the Global Passenger Vehicle Turbocharger market. The increasing demand for passenger vehicles has a direct positive influence on the demand for automotive turbochargers.
