The conference went well. I believe myself and a few others expected the event to focus more on industry information beneficial to budding entrepreneurs (pun intended). While this information was expressed, the event shifted a bit to focus more on 2016 "adult use" recreational legislation for CA in 2016. In served to really show what was on the mind of most people attending the event.
2016 is an important year because it will bring out the young vote as a presidential election, and with CA passing adult use, it will recreate CA as the largest epicenter of MMJ use by population. It is a massive opportunity for existing companies, new entrepreneurs, and the wide benefits for consumers.
CA is also in need of reformed laws, for example, the introduction of mandatory testing requirements. This is a mainstay now in all adult use states. These types of provisions will serve BudGenius very well.
We have played roles in past political actions and will continue to assist with the 2016 agendas.
