Hi misiu. Unless someone opted out of the class action (you are automatically deemed "in" unless you opt out), it is most likely that no other lawyers are coming after CYDY in this matter.
I just settled a class action for the company I work for and while an agreement has been reached by the parties, a judge must still approve it before it becomes final, and judges can reject for any number of reasons.
Where did you see $16mm? I did not think the terms were made public yet as it has not been approved.
Also, keep this in mind...while losses may have been less than what was settled for, statutory and punitive damages could be a LOT more than the losses were, hence settling is often a smarter move.
In response to Respert, who called the class members "assholes," that is not true. They are people who lost money and were lied to by people who were supposed to have their backs and broke the law. And no, I was not part of the class.
