(OTCBB:AERT) announced today that net sales for the year ended December 31, 2013 were $68.8 million, down from $74.6 million for the year ended December 31, 2012. Net sales for the fourth quarter of 2013 were $11.2 million, down $0.3 million from $11.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2012.

Advanced Environmental Recycling Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB:AERT), a leading plastic recycler and manufacturer of green building products announced today net sales for the quarter ended September 30, 2013 were $14.7 million down $3.1 million from the 2012 third quarter, largely due to lost production as a result of a fire on July 17, 2013 at the extrusion facility in Springdale, Arkansas. Four of AERT's five lines were out of commission for approximately one month and final adjustments and repairs to the extrusion lines are progressing as they are being restored to full capacity.

(OTCBB:AERT), a leading plastic recycler and manufacturer of green building products, experienced a fire at its Springdale North extrusion facility at approximately 2:40 PM this afternoon. Three associates were injured and transported to Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. Two of the associates have subsequently been transported to a regional burn center. The third associate expects to be released this evening.
